To Receive Spiritual Direction

The primary purpose of Spiritual Direction is to grow in a personal relationship with your God through coming to notice and savor the movements of the Spirit in everyday life, prayer, meditation, and relationships. This may lead to a deeper intimacy with the Sacred, one's True Self and others; prompt gratitude; necessitate discernment; evoke Love and call us forth to serve . It requires being attentive to the moment and listening with the heart to the gentle stirrings deep within. The fruits of Spiritual Direction may include a greater interior freedom, deeper joy, more grace-filled decisions, a more integrated life and healthier relationships with self and others.

A number of Mercy Center's Program staff and graduates of our Spiritual Direction Practicum are available to offer spiritual direction. A donation is requested for these services. The suggested range is $35 - $75 per session.

Interns in Mercy Center's Spiritual Direction Practicum and Interships are also available for spiritual direction. There is no charge for their services while they are in training.

Please contact Joan Linley, Program Director, for more information and referral. 203.245.0401, extension 460; joan@mercybythesea.org.
