Diversity – Watercolors and Pen and Ink Paintings

Diversity – Watercolors and Pen and Ink Paintings by Pamela Morgan, CWS, NEWS
On Display January 3, 2020 – March 1, 2020

Opening reception, Sunday, January 26, 2020 2-4 p.m.; snow date: February 2, 2020. Light refreshments will be served.

This exhibition is a visual delight of watercolors, pen and ink pieces and watercolors with pen and ink. Pamela Morgan’s passion for watercolor painting has finally been realized. She reflects, “because of the demands of life and family, I did not paint for about 25 years. Now I'm back doing what I love best. I am a watercolor artist. I love the way that water and colors mix with the most amazing results. I paint with a brightness rarely seen in watercolor. My paintings are all about design and color. I am always receptive to new ideas and techniques.”

Pam studied at SCSU; with local artists the late DeWitt Brouard, Joan Downey, and Karen Barton at the Guilford Art Center; and with Chinese Master Lian Zhen. She is an Elected Member of The Guilford Art League, Madison Art Society, and Essex Art Association. She is also a member of The Lyme Art Association, The Connecticut Watercolor Society, and The New England Watercolor Society.

Pam is a crafter, a soft goods artist, and a watercolor artist. Her work is well known in the local community and is highly regarded.

She has exhibited at the Greene Gallery in Guilford, the Branford Art Center, Hilltop Gallery in Branford and the Wadsworth Library in Stony Creek Branford. She is also in the Xanadu on-line Gallery in Scottsdale, AZ. Pam is a craftsman and was an exhibitor at the Guilford Handcrafts Center's annual show and sale on the Guilford Green. At the time, she was the youngest exhibitor that they had ever had (and probably still holds that distinction) and she was presented one of the first scholarships awarded by the Guilford Handcrafts Center.

Pam has brought unparalleled vision and arrangement talents to the foreground with her latest watercolor creations.

She hopes that you enjoy her work. She is confident “that it makes you laugh, admire, think and appreciate. Remember that I painted it for my love of the work and for your enjoyment.”
