Finance Manager/Bookkeeper

Location:  Madison, Connecticut

Summary: The Finance Manager/Bookkeeper is accountable to the Executive Director and responsible for maintaining all financial information and processing payroll. This is a part-time position.


  • College degree or equivalent.
  • Basic bookkeeping, accounting and finance management.


  • Contributes to the creation of a welcoming, compassionate and caring environment for all colleagues and guests of Mercy by the Sea.
  • Responsible for and executes accounts receivable and payable, payroll and other accounting procedures.
  • Prepares payment to vendors and others on a systematic and timely basis.
  • Prepares the balance sheet and profit and loss statement on a monthly basis for the Executive Director and Board of Trustees.
  • Participates on the Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees.
  • Advises the Executive Director on financial matters.
  • Assists with other duties as requested by the Executive Director.
