Prayer and Contemplation for the Common Good

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” – John 14:27

About this Offering

As we move closer to the United States’ Election Day (Nov. 5), we invite people of all faith backgrounds and political affiliations to gather as a community in silence, contemplation, and prayer for our nation’s common good.

Guided by a spirituality of nonviolence, please join Mercy by the Sea staff to pray for unity, peace, and the common good of our country. Let us come together with open hearts; grounded in hope.

We will gather in Lyons Chapel from 6:15 to 6:45 p.m. on:

  • Tuesday, Oct. 15
  • Thursday, Oct. 24
  • Tuesday, Oct. 29

These gatherings are free and no registration is required. However, please call (203) 245-0401 to let us know if you’ll be participating. If you cannot be with us in person, please join in prayer from wherever you are during these times.
