Come on Your Own
Mercy by the Sea’s hospitality extends to those who desire to come to the Center either in a formal or informal way. In addition to our programs and themed and directed retreats, individuals are welcome to create their own private retreat experience. For information or to make an overnight reservation, contact Rosemary Jones in Guest Services at (203) 245-0401 ext. 114. or email them at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Those who wish to come and spend the day at the Center are also welcome from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday. However, we ask you to sign in at the front desk and receive a dated day pass. You must retain the pass as you may be asked to produce it. We are closed on Sundays.
Please note that there are no lifeguards on duty so swimming is at your own risk. Children under 18 are not allowed to use the beach or to swim.
We also ask those who use the beach to wear appropriate beach attire and refrain from entering the house in beachwear. When in need of a restroom, you may use those located at the front of the house, near the reception desk. We ask that you do not use the restrooms as changing areas.
Mercy by the Sea values stillness, silence and solitude and we ask that all guests respect this quiet and reflective atmosphere. Therefore, all smoking, alcoholic beverages, loud music and fires and grilling are prohibited.
Meals are served in our dining room but advance notice must be given as meals for day visitors may not be available. When available, lunches are $15 per person and dinners, $20.
There is a donation box near the reception desk at the front of the house. We would be very grateful if you made a free will donation, which helps support the upkeep of the grounds and property.
We hope you enjoy your quiet time with us.
