The Colors of Haiti

We are thrilled to be hosting an exhibit featuring 25 artworks by Haitian artist Patricia Brintle of Queens, New York. Patricia’s subjects are varied with religious, secular, or landscape themes, yet all inspired by Haiti’s tropical beauty.  With each artwork the artist narrates a special moment from the pristine Caribbean island using a rich palette of vibrant colors.

“We specifically chose Patricia’s exhibit to grace our walls during the Christian season of Lent and Easter due to her religious artworks,” said Ann McGovern, RSM, who oversees Mercy by the Sea’s gallery. On exhibit will be Patricia’s Assumption - Advocata Nostra which was on the cover of Give us This Day; It is Finished, Madonna and Child with Daisies, Madonna and Child of the Garden; Madonna and Child with Crown of Flowers, and many others.

Several of Patricia works have been featured in movies and grace the covers and decorate the covers and pages of books, magazines, and publications, including Give Us This Day, Daily Prayer For Today’s Catholics. Brintle belongs to several art organizations and exhibits internationally. This promises to be an exhibit not to be missed.
