Sr. Patty Moriarty

Assistant Executive Director

Sister Patty joins the staff after sixteen years of service in community leadership capacities for the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. Prior to community leadership, she was a long-time educator. Sister taught mathematics on the elementary and secondary levels.

After stepping out of the classroom she became an administrator at Mercy High School in Middletown. Sister Patty started her ministerial life at St Vincent de Paul Middletown.

As an avid walker, she has a deep appreciation of beauty in creation. In autumn 2025, Sister Patty fulfilled a dream to walk the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage, almost 500 miles over the Pyrenees and across Spain!

Sister Patty says she's thrilled to be ministering at Mercy by the Sea! The beauty of the property and peaceful atmosphere is a gift to be shared, and she's pleased to be part of the team to welcome guests.
