Dear Friends,
Today we share our 2024 Report on the transformative year we have just completed at Mercy by the Sea. We hope you are inspired by the wonderful gathering of blessings. Speaking of the year as “transformative” is beyond the physical changes and best depicted in the words of a recent program participant; “Every time I gather in a setting like this it’s affirming and validates, I am on the right path. I feel small gatherings like this have the ability to transform the world one human at a time.” That is the hope and focus of all our efforts, that Mercy by the Sea is a place that nurtures the Divine within and sends mercy, compassion and joy out into the world.
As we move forward, blessed, hopeful and full of possibility, know how deeply grateful we are for the many ways so many support the work of Mercy by the Sea. We are blessed by volunteers in the gardens, Book Shop and kitchen, donors, board members, program and retreat participants who continue to return over and over again, deer and fawn that entertain us, beautiful grounds and a wonderful staff that places service at the center of all. Here’s to the next leg of the journey, may it bring even greater mercy, compassion and joy!
