Tower Guest Room

This room has a special history. Originally it was the art studio for W.T. Grant, who purchased the land and built an 18-room mansion on the property in 1941. Many years later, when Henri J.M. Nouwen, a renown Catholic priest, theologian and author, was teaching at Yale University, he used the Tower as a writing retreat. Other nationally known writers have also stayed in this space.

The Tower consists of a bedroom, small kitchen area, bath and two porches with spectacular views of Long Island Sound. Staying in the Tower offers a quiet, private space for individuals on retreat or those wishing to immerse themselves in creative endeavors.
